Domain parking provides an inactive page for a domain name. it can be used in the following situations:

When Domain name was just purchased and wasn't pointed to any given web server.
When the domain name is for sale.
When the owner of the domain doesn't have anything to do with the domain name but earning money from ocational hits where visitors happen to visit his domain name.
