Colocation services (also spelled "co-location" or "collocation") are actually renting a secure space with reliable network connectivity in a data center, being able to maintain your own equipment.

For example, a website owner can place the server which hosts a website (with all the associated hardware) on the premises of the Internet service provider (ISP). Using these services saves high traffic web sites physical space & money, the alternative for colocation hosting services is to establish a Data center on your own - which usually doesn't fit the profile of small, medium and even big companies.

see the following list of Colocation hosting providers.
